Ralph Hudson was probably born in Hull, Yorkshire, England about 1593. Ralph died September 26, 1651 in Boston, Suffolk Co. Massachusetts, at the age of 58. He married Marie Watts in, England. Marie was born circa 1593 in probably Kingston, Yorkshire, England. Marie was the daughter of William Watts and Helen Sawer. Marie died 1651 in Boston at age 58. Marie's estate was probated November 20, 1651 in Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.
Ralph Hudson age 42, a woolen draper in Kingston-on-Hull, Yorkshire, England, came to New, England in April, 1635, in the ship "Susan and Ellen". He was accompanied by his wife, Mary age 42, and Hannah age 14, John age 12 (possibly his brother) and Elizabeth age 5. Also aboard were Benjamin Thwing age 16, Ann Gibson age 31, Judith Kirk age 18, Jo. Morcage, aged 41, and Henry Knowles age 25, servants of Ralph Hudson.
He was admitted to the Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 17, 1636. He was made freeman there on May 25, 1636.
there is a strong possibility that John Hudson was the young brother of Ralph, rather than his son, seems fairly clear from Ralph's will, but is not acknowledged in current genealogies -- this would remove Ralph and Mary Watts from the ancestor tree.
