Christopher Wadsworth emmigrated from, England in 1632 aboard the "Lion". He landed at Plymouth Colony on September 16, 1632. He and his wife, Grace Cole, resided at Duxbury, MA and had four children. Among Christopher's descendants is Henry Wadsworth Longellow. Christopher Wadsworth was on the 1633 freeman list, and he served on various juries and received a number of land grants. On 16 September 1633, he witnessed William Wright's will. On 1 January 1633/1634 he was chosen constable for the "ward" bounded between the Jones River and Greens Harbor, and he was chosen constable for Duxbury again in 1637 and 1638. He became a deputy in 1640 for Duxbury, and in 1666 he became a selectman for Duxbury. He dated his will 31 July 1677, sworn 27 October 1687, proved 13 June 1688. In it he named his wife Grace, and his sons Joseph and John.
