Narrative
crossed mts by horseback 1782, wounded in battle of Saratoga 1777 moved St Peters Pgh. Stayed w Wm Miller 1791 took 360 acres Finleyville. Enlisted in Pennsylvania Artillery Regiment at outbreak of American Revolution. Severe wounds at Battle of Saratoga necessitated his withdrawal from active field service, although his flour mill within the limits of what is now Philadelphia is said to have been a source of supply and much relief to other patriots and their families.
